Alice Paul was an inspirational woman. Plenty of woman looked up to her. A few of her closest friends and colleges are,
Nina E. Allender- She was the organizers, campaigner, and speaker. She
was also a cartoonist, she got famous for her Allender girl picture.
Abby Scott Baker- She was the political chairman of the NWP, she also go the NWP in the media before the ratifying of the 19th
amendment
Alva Belmont- She was an aristocratic women who struck fear through many people. She helped the girls get some support
through her wealth.
Lucy Burns- She was the co-founder of NWP (alongside Alice Paul). She worked in the U.S and the U.K. She had gone to jail
with Alice Paul in Virginia.
Rheta Childe Dorr- She wrote The Suffragist which helped gain a lot of attention from the medis
Crystal Eastman- She had a political magazine called The Liberator, with her brother and it gained a lot of attention.
Sara Bard Field- She had a petition the got 500,000 signatures for suffrage from California to Wachington, D.C. Unfortunetly it did not go through.
Edna Buckman Kearns- She constructed a horse drawn wagon for their campaign. It was called the "Spirit of 1776". It was used multiple times for may different event.
Inez Milholland- She was a very important participant in the Woman Suffrage Parade of 1913. She also had a great influence in the
women's movement in the U.S.
Doris Stevens- She wrote "Jailed for Freedom" and was also a Silent Sentinels (a member who picketed the White House).
Mabel Vernon- She was a member of NAWSA, as well as the NWP. She also helped organize the daily picketing of the White House.
